recommendations for document management system needed

Hello,

we would like to scan 1000s of invoices and store them online for
quick retrieval.

Right now we can scan,OCR and generate PDF files of the invoices. What
we are looking for, is some kind of tool that will allow us to produce
a searchable database of these files.

Specifically we want the ability to:

- authenticate users. username/password is sufficient.
- ability to watch a folder and automatically import then catalogue
PDF files.
- generate searchable database of PDF contents.
- nice,clean interface to query database.
- allow retrieval of files for re-printing or to be emailed.

We'd prefer an opensource application that would work with our
existing PHP/MYSQL infrastructure.

Thanks for the suggestions. They appear to be more than what we need.
We dont want to pay for something when we only require a small subset
of functionality. Can anyone suggest any free lightweight
applications?

I've been looking at Knowledgetree but the free version does not have
the watch folder/automatic import function we want.
